Dear Parents/Carers,

Please find this weeks updates and reminders below:

We have a box on top of the red postbox in the lobby outside main reception for used stamps so if you have any (which you may have this time of year!) please can you bring them in January.

Free NHS HANDi App

Are you caring for a poorly child and don’t know who to turn to for advice? The HANDi App, developed for the NHS by a team of paediatric experts, provides support to parents/carers and medical professionals looking after children with the most common childhood illnesses. These include diarrhoea and vomiting, high temperature, abdominal pain, chest problems such as wheezing and asthma, and common problems experienced by newborn babies. As well as providing up-to-date NHS advice on common childhood conditions and how to treat them, the HANDi App has a quick and easy-to-use child symptom checker. The app takes you through a series of questions about the symptoms your child is experiencing and then advises on the best course of action, whether that’s to treat at home, to make a GP appointment, or to head to A&E. Each of the most common childhood illnesses has a Home Care Plan to help you provide the best support for your child. P.E. kit

Before we break up we would like to remind parents about P.E. kit.  Our uniform is as follows for P.E.

Joggers/tracksuit/shorts/leggings/skorts – Plain navy or black (not branded)

T-Shirt – Plain sky blue or school branded (Infants can wear their ordinary school polo shirt if they have one)

Fleece/tracksuit top – Plain navy or black (or use school sweatshirt/fleece)

Footwear – Trainers – Plain dark colour (not branded)

As the children from Y1 upwards are wearing their kit all day on P.E. days, it is important that they stick to our uniform code, which helps reinforce the sense of community and our expectations about behaviour.  In particular, brightly coloured items/ items with other logos should not be worn, other than on official non-uniform days.  Thank you for your co-operation.
