SEN, Learning Mentors and Pastoral Support

High Down Schools are committed to inclusion. The schools aim to provide an appropriate and high quality education for all of our children. We believe that all children have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum, which is readily accessible to them. We aim for all children to be fully included in all aspects of school life and we endeavour to ensure that all pupils are happy and secure within a curriculum that is tailored to meet their needs.

Our SENDCO, across both schools, is Kate Gore.  She can be contacted via the school office.

Please see below for the SEND reports from the Infant and Junior schools.

Please follow link for our SEND policy.

Our Learning Mentors and Pastoral Support Team are Ms Caroline Battlebury and Mrs Kirsty Ireland whose aims are to provide a support service to individual and groups of children to help them reach their full potential in school and to address issues which affect their learning. They are available throughout the day including break and lunchtimes and their role is to help children have an enjoyable and memorable school  experience. The team also provides family support. They can be contacted via the school office.

Please see below for a leaflet about this team.
