Behaviour Expectations

At High Down we expect high standards of behaviour.

Our School is a community where relationships are based on respect and we expect everyone to follow our Golden Rules.

Our Golden Rules are:

  • We are gentle – we don’t hurt others
  • We are kind and helpful – we don’t hurt anybody’s feeling
  • We listen – we don’t interrupt
  • We are honest – we don’t cover up the truth
  • We work hard – we don’t waste ours or others’ time
  • We look after property – we don’t waste or damage things
  • We walk and talk quietly around the school

Please follow link to our policies section to view the Behaviour Policy.

Anti-Bullying

We only accept high standards of behaviour at High Down, and bullying is not accepted, in whatever form.  We want all children to enjoy their time here, feel safe, have fun and learn lots.  We will help everyone to get on with each other and we believe everyone has the right to be who they are.  Please read our leaflet below which shows children what they need to do if they feel they are being bullied.

Most importantly though, please talk to an adult immediately if you have any concerns. At High Down we promise to always do something to tackle bullying.  We can’t do anything about it if we don’t know.

Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors 2022/23are:-

Y3 – Zac, Meadow, Charlie, Mayan, Emma and Reuben

Y4 – Nelly, Isaac, Edward, Isla, Arlo, Rosie and Elizabeth

Y5 – Molly and Charlie

Y6 – Freya, Ben, Thorley, Olivia, Amelia and Braxton

We say YES to friendship and NO to bullying.
