Weekly Update – 10.3.22

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please find this week’s updates and reminders below:

Mobile Phones

Please could we ask you to put away your phone while you are on the school site. As well as the issues associated with phone cameras and pictures of pupils, accidents can be caused by people looking at or talking into phones instead of looking where they are going.

Staff Car Park

The car park is for staff only or for parents to use if collecting poorly and/or injured children during the School day.  We have had incidences of staff and also our disabled children and parents unable to park or leave, particularly at School drop off and pick up times.   Please do not be offended if we ask for your name and why you are coming into the car park when you buzz at either gate.

School Lunches

Please only order the vegan option on Select if your child is on a vegan diet and we have been provided with the relevant paperwork. Orders for the vegan option will otherwise be treated as an order for the vegetarian option due to the cost of production.

*Please also note that due to a mistake on the menu on 18th March, any orders that had previously been put on had to be removed.  Therefore if you have already ordered for 18th March, please log on and re-order.

Red Nose Day

A donations page for Comic relief has been set up for Red Nose Day, which is on Friday 18th March and will be a non-uniform day.   Some of the donations from Comic relief will be going to support the people of Ukraine and others who are being impacted by the war.

School Office

The School Office is open from 8:30am – 3:45pm.  If you ring after 3:45pm then please leave a message which will be picked up the next morning.  We do get very busy, particularly at School drop off and pick up, so if we don’t answer your call, please leave a message or e-mail us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.   You can e-mail us on office@highdownschools.org

Please always confirm your child’s name and class in any message or e-mail
