Although certain covid restrictions outside of school have been relaxed with effect from Monday 17th May, just to confirm that for now our current school procedures and safety measures will remain in force until we are advised that they can be safely relaxed, at which point a comprehensive review of our risk assessment will take place
With recent brighter weather a few children have been wearing sunglasses to school. Our policy is that, unless recommended by a health practitioner, we do not encourage the wearing of sunglasses in school as they can cause injury to young children when falling over. Over-the-counter sunglasses for children also tend to be of poor quality and provide very limited UV protection. A sunhat with a peak or brim will shade a child’s eyes without creating any additional issues.
If your child does need to wear sunglasses for medical reasons, please make sure her/ his teacher is aware of this.
Dates for class photographs have just been confirmed and will be on Wednesday 26th May for the Infants and Thursday 27th May for the Juniors.
