Reporting absences
Absences must be reported by phoning the school on 01275 843969 by 10:00am each day. Please select the appropriate option to report absence and then leave your message. Please be as specific as you can regarding the reason. Obviously knowing the reason for all absences in the current climate is paramount.
Covid cases
Our number of positive Covid cases has risen over the first few weeks of term to a peak of 10 cases across the school and the number of cases are still rising. Please carefully monitor your children’s health and do not send them to school if they have the main Covid symptoms – a new, continuous cough, or a high temperature, or a loss of, or change in, their normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia). If your child demonstrates any of these symptoms they will need a PCR test and will need to isolate until that test is confirmed as negative.
If children are named as a close contact of those who have tested positive they should take a PCR test but can return to school whilst awaiting their results, if they do not have symptoms.
All classes remain open and our current risk assessment remains in place. We will continue to be in touch with Public Health and will be guided by them for any future developments or alterations to our policy.

We require specific consent to enable us to include images or video footage on the website, newsletter or otherwise shared. Please complete a separate form for each child.

Portishead Town Football Club Fireworks colouring competition
You have been sent details of a colouring competition being run by Portishead Town Football Club. Please help yourself to paper copies in the lobby outside main reception if required, or e-mail Lisa on office@highdownschools.org to have one sent home.
