Reading books at the Junior school

We are incredibly proud of our library and would like to continue to be able to provide our children with a wide range of quality texts which they can take home to share and enjoy. We have some books that are very well loved so have signs of wear and tear and occasionally pages may become loose where the glue in the binding is not strong enough. These books are retired from the library when they are in poor condition.

We completely understand that accidents happen but as a school we are unable to absorb the cost of books that have been lost or damaged. This has totalled to approximately £2500 over the last few years. Examples of damage are: water damage, food on pages, large rips, large bends across covers and pen marks. Therefore, when a book is lost or damaged we request that it is replaced or paid for.

Teams- Remote Learning when isolating

If your child is isolating but is well enough to complete work, you can access the current materials for his or her year group using their Teams account. You should find this term’s remote planner with accompanying maths resources. Assignments will be created so work can be sent in for feedback.

These planners and resources were being increasingly used towards the end of last term so please check that you are able to access through Teams. If you are having any difficulties with logging in then please contact the office.

Kitchen Vacancy

We currently have a vacancy in our School Kitchen.  If you would like further information and to apply, then please contact David Britton at Aspens on david.britton@aspens-services.com.
