If we do not receive consent from you then your child will not be in the class photo.  The photos will be available to buy for all pupils in their class.

Sickness/diarrhoea

A reminder that if your child has had sickness/diarrhoea that they must wait for 48 hours from the last bout before returning to School.

Parking

We have had a request from local residents to remind parents to please park carefully on Down Road.  Please do not block residents driveways and try to ensure there is enough space to keep the traffic flowing.

We have also had reports of people parking on double yellow lines especially at the junction of Down Road and The Downs which creates a bottleneck.  This also makes it dangerous for parents and children to cross.

School Reception & Staff Car Park

If you need to come to School reception/office, please come to the foyer and ring the bell or knock and we will be able to help you through the hatch.

We have paper copies of useful forms on the wall available for you to take such as Allergies and Special Diet forms, Absence Request forms, Consent for School to administer medicine and Milk forms.

There are red post boxes which you can use to leave completed forms, letters etc.

You can also contact us on office@highdownschools.org.

If your child is late in then please bring them to the foyer outside main reception and we will sign them in for you.

Please use the pedestrian gate as the car park is a staff only car park and we are very restricted on spaces available.  Please only park in the staff car park if you have a blue disability badge and a disabled space is available, it has been agreed by a Staff member for a specific reason or if you have been asked to collect a poorly/injured child.

Portishead Youth Centre half term

Portishead Youth Centre have a Half Term Holiday Scheme that will be open to anyone aged 8 – 12 from Tuesday 1st June – Friday 4th June. You can secure a space by downloading, completing and returning their booking form from the following link: https://portisheadyouthcentre.co.uk/club…/holiday-scheme/

There will be socially distanced sports, arts and crafts, cooking, crabbing and activities at the Lake Grounds so something for everyone.

Donations for After School Club

After School Club are still desperately in need of donations of jogging trousers.  If you have any children’s jogging trousers aged 5 to 9 years that you can donate, this will be much appreciated.

Welder needed!

If any of our parents is a welder, and would be able to take a small item offsite to weld we would be really grateful if you could let us know.

We hope you all have a great weekend.

Kind regards

School Office
