Weekly Update – 3.3.22

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please find this week’s updates and reminders below:

Mr Hopkins

We are certain you will join us in offering congratulations to Mr Rhodri Hopkins who has been offered his first headship, in a South Gloucestershire school, from September. His departure will be a huge loss to our schools but we know that his new school will be gaining a wonderful leader.

Ukraine crisis

The events taking place in Ukraine and eastern Europe are all in our thoughts at the moment. Below are a few tips to support your child if they have any concerns about current events:

1. Start by finding out what they know.

2. Validate their feelings.

3. Let them know that they are safe.

4. Keep things age appropriate.

5. Keep the conversation going by coming back to it as they need to.

School Lunches

Please only order the vegan option on Select if your child is on a vegan diet and we have been provided with the relevant paperwork. Orders for the vegan option will otherwise be treated as an order for the vegetarian option due to the cost of production.

*Please also note that due to a mistake on the menu on 18th March, any orders that had previously been put on had to be removed.  Therefore if you have already ordered for 18th March, please log on and re-order.

Juniors only – Mini Medics first aid training course – more info to follow.
