As confirmed last week, following the launch of rapid asymptomatic coronavirus (COVID-19) testing in schools, staff working onsite at High Down Schools are being offered the opportunity to take part in regular asymptomatic testing which will take place twice a week. If a test result comes back positive, we will need to close a bubble down and those children and staff will need to isolate and move to remote learning. We will inform you as soon as possible in the case of a positive case. We will then continue to follow our school and Government protocols during this time.
Reminders for parents and carers of children who are coming onto school site
Please ensure that you are maintaining social distancing at all times when on school site. There have been a number of occasions where adults and children are not maintaining at least a 2m distance at the beginning and end of the school day.
Please ensure School lunches are ordered on Aspens by 5:00pm the day before. The new allergens matrix is now attached along with the current weekly menu.
Reminders for parents and carers of children who are working remotely
On Friday 12th February (1.30-3pm), we will be placing some more exercise books in the staff car park for any families who need them. As before, please maintain social distancing on collection.
If your child is poorly or unable to log online for the day please e-mail Lisa on Office@highdownschools.org confirming your child’s name and allocated Teacher.
Have a good rest of the week and we hope you all have a great weekend.
