COVID-19 vaccinations for 5 – 11 year olds
Please see message below from the Sirona Immunisation Team:
The NHS is now offering COVID-19 vaccines to children aged 5 to 11 years. Appointments are being held in dedicated children’s clinics across the area and can be booked online via the National Booking Serviceor by calling 119. Some walk-in clinics are also available and details of these, along with information about all the vaccination options in our area, can be found at www.grabajab.net.
Children’s clinics are being run by GPs, community pharmacies and the Vaccination Centre @ UWE Bristol, where themed child-friendly pods have been created to make the Centre feel welcoming for young children.
Younger children receive a lower (paediatric) vaccine dose. More information about the vaccination and the effects of COVID-19 in young children can be found here.
Feel Fab Easter Challenges
Please find in the ‘Letters to Parents’ section the ‘Feel Fab Easter’ active and creative challenge for 2022.
‘Can you claim your gold certificate by completing at least six of the Easter Egg challenges or 2 chicks by being active for 60 minutes per day (a real accomplishment!).’
Please also find the supporting ‘Springo’ sheet for one of the challenges.
Inclusive Multi-sport Festival
Information about an inclusive multi-sport festival taking place during the Easter break can be found in the Letters to Parents section.
