Weekly Update – 8th July 2021

Step 4 of the Roadmap

We have been reviewing the DfE updated Covid operational guidance and are really pleased to see that from September things will look more ‘normal’ in school. We have a meeting on Friday with the Lighthouse Schools Partnership and will make decisions on what this new information will mean for all our schools. Following this meeting we will be in touch to provide more information about September.

As per the updated Schools Covid 19 Operational Guidance we will be keeping our current practices and procedures in place until the end of term. We have many reasons for maintaining this good practice but one of the main reasons is that we do not want staff and children having to self isolate in the first 10 days of the holiday. We are very mindful that cases are high in the community and relaxing any rules now seems unwise.

We would be grateful if you would support this decision by continuing to abide by our rules on mask wearing and social distancing on site during the final days of term.

Several parents have also asked about end of year gifts for staff. Thank you for your generosity and please note that we are perfectly happy for the children to bring in gifts for the staff.

Thank you for your continued support. Our current measures have ensured that we have had minimal bubble closures and additional disruptions to the children’s education. Hopefully by September ‘normality’ will resume and we are all looking forward to welcoming back both parents and children.
