Dear Parents/Carers,

Please find this week’s updates and reminders below:


Please can you ensure your child brings their water bottle into school daily. A polite reminder these should not have squash in them; only water is allowed.

Lost Property

We have a lot of un-named Junior lost property again, so please come and have a look through at pick up/drop off to see if any of these belong to your child. Parents will be welcome to take any if they are not claimed.


We’ve had a few cases of threadworms in the Infant school.

Junior Morning Drop Off

A polite reminder Junior drop off is drop and go. Staff will be on duty from 8:35am standing back from the lines supervising the children.

Comic Relief Day – Friday 15th March

Next Friday is Comic Relief Day so children are invited to dress down, maybe in something red (but this is completely optional) in return for a donation.

North Somerset Athletics club

After a winter break, North Somerset Athletics club are returning with their highly rated Athletics fun days during the Easter half-term. 

Tuesday April 2nd – Thursday April 4th 2024

Monday April 8th – Thursday April 11th 2024

Cost £22 per day (all abilities welcome)

Clevedon School Sports Centre & facility
10am – 4pm
Age 8-12

School Office

The School Office is open from 8:30am – 3:45pm.  If you ring after 3:45pm then please leave a message, which will be picked up the next morning.  We do get very busy, particularly at School drop off and pick up, so if we do not answer your call, please leave a message or e-mail us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.   You can e-mail us on office@highdownschools.org.

Please always confirm your child’s name and class in any message or e-mail.

If you would like to come to the School Office, please buzz at the pedestrian gate and come to the hatch in the lobby outside main reception.

Reporting absences

Absences must be reported by phoning the school on 01275 843969 by 10:00am each day.  

*Please do not e-mail absences because the e-mail may not be seen until later in the day, by which time the absence will have been marked as unauthorised.
